Sockers Sign F/M Edward Willette

The San Diego Sockers - presented by Kaiser Permanente - today announced the signing of forward/midfielder Edward Willette, who was part of the team’s 2023 Player Combine in November.  As per MASL and club policy, the terms of the deal were not announced. 

“Edward stood out as one the best players from the combine,” said Sockers General Manager Sean Bowers. “He has worked hard to get signed and a place on the roster.”

The 5'9, 155-pound Laguna Beach native played at Orange Coast College and also starred at Laguna Beach High School (2016 graduate).

“This is a dream come true for me to become a professional soccer player,” said  Willette.

He will be with the team for tonight’s road contest against the Empire Strykers in Ontario. The game will kick off at 7:05pm and will be streamed on Twitch on channel @masl_soccer.
