Sockers 2023/24 Home Opener Set For December 3

The San Diego Sockers - presented by Kaiser Permanente - today announced the team will open the home portion of their 2023/24 Major Arena Soccer League season on Sunday, December 3 at 5:05pm. An opponent will be announced when the full MASL schedule is released later this year.

The match will be played at Pechanga Arena San Diego, which will serve as the Sockers’ home floor for the twelfth straight and final season. The team will move into its new home in Oceanside, CA - Frontwave Arena - for the 2024/25 MASL season. 

San Diego will play a 24-match schedule during the 2023/24 MASL season once again. The Sockers went 22-2-0 in the regular season during the 2022/23 campaign before losing to the eventual champion, Chihuahua Savage, 1-0 in overtime of Game Three of the Ron Newman Cup Conference Finals. Over the past two seasons, the Sockers have complied a 45-2-1 regular season record.

Official preseason will begin in mid-November, marking the start of the team’s preparation for a new opportunity at a MASL championship.
